Calm Through Cancer helps women navigating early-stage breast cancer build mental resilience through structured mindfulness practices to move through treatment guided by inner strength, not fear.
Hi, I'm Amy. This is My Story.
A few years into the pandemic, I found myself ignoring my physical health and feeling fragile. “Who I wanted to be” and “who I really was” were worlds apart, and a deep feeling of unalignment hit me hard every morning. When I finally got uncomfortable enough, I knew that something had to change.
I stumbled into yoga, where I was inspired to learn more about myself through mindfulness and nervous system regulation. I shed 65 pounds, but the real transformation was finally creating an internal sense of safety and peace.
Then, when I was 36, I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. I leaned into mental resilience tools, and they became my anchor through chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, radiation, and reconstruction. Calm Through Cancer was born from this experience, from the knowledge that mental strength can be built, and from the belief that you have a say in how you move through this season. Let's start now.
Join the First Beta Cohort
Calm Through Cancer is launching its very first trial group: an intimate, online community of 30 women navigating early-stage breast cancer. This eight-week program is a structured mental resilience training. The goal is that as you move through treatment - whether that's chemo, radiation, lumpectomy, mastectomy, or reconstruction - you'll have developed the tools needed to manage ALL the emotions that come along with cancer. This beta group is intentionally small to ensure we can 1) build a deeply supportive, highly-valuable community, 2) create space for meaningful connection, and 3) refine the curriculum based on your feedback.
What Makes Calm Through Cancer Different
Calm Through Cancer is built around four integrated pillars, meaning that each week you’re learning, practicing and connecting strategies that actually work in the real-world context of navigating breast cancer. Because one of our pillars is Habit Formation, you’ll establish routines that continue supporting you long after the course ends.
The Four Pillars
Regulation | Ground your nervous system
Ground yourself with meditation, breathwork, and strategies inspired by principles commonly used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This course is specifically created for women who might not have dabbled in these practices before, so I'll walk you through everything you need to know... no experience needed!
Gratitude | Refocus your attention
Train your brain to notice and amplify positive moments. Remember how you felt more playful, in-awe, and just lighter as a child? The goal here is to reawaken this sense of wonder so you feel more joy in your day-to-day life.
Connection | Reduce isolation
Share your experiences and challenges in a safe, supportive community. Through a private online community, you'll build meaningful connections with others walking the same path as you. Nobody wants to be a part of this club, but we have the best members!
Habit Formation | Build sustainable systems
I don't just want you feeling better during the course of the eight-week program; I want you to have tools to take with you into your everyday life after the course is complete. While the first three pillars are mental resilience practices, Habit Formation teaches you how to make sure they actually stick.
***As someone who went through chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, radiation and reconstructive surgery, I want you to know that nothing in this program requires extreme energy or dramatic life changes. It just requires you to show up!
